Configuring Products and Pricing in Fire Survey Pro

This guide will teach you to configure products in Fire Survey Pro. You'll learn about manufacturers, products and pricing.

Overview

Fire Survey Pro comes with a set of standard manufacturers and products to help you get started. All you need to do is add prices for the products you use. In this article, we will cover:

  • Manufacturers
  • Products
  • Pricing
  • Price Tiers

Manufacturers

Fire Survey Pro includes a variety of pre-configured manufacturers for your convenience. To add your own, go to the Custom Manufacturers tab, click "Add Manufacturer," and fill out the form.

Products

Like the Manufacturers section, we've included some standard products to get you started. If a product you need isn’t listed, you can add your own. To do this, click on the Custom Products tab, click the "Add Product" button, and fill out the form.

When adding a product, you can set the measurement type based on how it's priced. For example, if the price depends on the material used, select the right measurement type. Or you can set a fixed price for the product.

Pricing

To add pricing to a product, follow these steps:

  1. Edit the product: Click the "Edit" button next to the product you want to update.
  2. Add a manufacturer: Click "Add Manufacturer." Then, select the manufacturer for that product. You can add multiple manufacturers for a single product by repeating this process.
  3. Set pricing details: Enter the costs for the operative, subcontractor, and materials. Finally, enter the sell price. Set a start date for when the price becomes effective, if you wish.

If you need to set different prices for multiple manufacturers, repeat the steps above.

Price Tiers

When adding a price, Fire Survey Pro allows you to set multiple breakpoints for material-based pricing. Breakpoints set the price based on the amount of material used. This is calculated when an operative inputs the product dimensions during a survey.

You can add as many breakpoints as needed to ensure accurate pricing for varying material amounts.

By following these steps, you're now able to get the most out of the products in Fire Survey Pro.
